Workshops
Our 2008 workshops are:
A Time of Renewal February 16th–17th -The holidays can leave us feeling stagnant, so plan to begin 2008 with a renewed commitment to writing. This workshop will focus on getting your slumbering creative energy flowing. We’ll look at imagery and exercises that will carry you through the entire year.
Reawakening the Senses April 12th-13th – We spend every day housed in our bodies yet ignore our senses. What would happen if we took a moment to still our minds and savor each sense? We will explore the writing possibilities that arise from focusing on them.
Claiming Creative Joy June 21st-22nd –We often become disconnected from creativity in our daily lives. Sometimes it can seem as though creativity is a luxury instead of a necessity. This workshop will focus on how to remain connected to the creative joy you deserve.
Homecoming August 9th-10th – This retreat centers on the concept of home, which can encompass a place, person or feeling. Our concept of home is redefined over the years as we move through life’s phases. This workshop will focus on how to define your personal sense of home.
The Mother-Daughter Workshop October 11th-12th – Honoring the significant women in our lives, this retreat centers on reflections of gratitude. At this time of year, we look into our hearts and remember those things we are thankful for. We’ll look at ways to express thanks in writing.
About the workshops:
The workshops are held in the peaceful retreat house on Saint Simons Island and last a day and a half. The cost per workshop is $275 and includes lunch and snacks.
We have recommendations for lodging on the island and will be happy to provide that information upon request. Just send us an e-mail or give us a call.
